Product Description

CENT-FAM is a human centromere-specific PNA probe labeled with FAM, a high-intensity green fluorophore used for precise visualization of centromeric DNA in FISH (fluorescence in situ hybridization) assays. It is optimized for research and clinical cytogenetics, including chromosome counting, genetic diagnosis, and aneuploidy detection.

The PNA backbone provides high specificity, fast hybridization, and exceptional thermal stability, outperforming traditional DNA probes in reliability and signal-to-background ratio.

Each vial contains 5 nmole, which is usually good enough to stain more than 500 slides.

Key Features

  • Labeled with FAM for vivid green fluorescence
  • Specific to human centromere sequences
  • Built on PNA backbone for strong, stable hybridization
  • Compatible with both metaphase and interphase preparations
