CD01 – dCas9 Protein with NLS – 50 µg

This dead Cas9 protein is a double mutant (D10A/H840A) that retains DNA binding capability but lacks nuclease activity, making it ideal for CRISPR interference (CRISPRi), gene repression, chromatin labeling, and transcriptional modulation studies.

Supplied in a 50 µg lyophilized format, it reconstitutes to 1 mg/ml and provides 300 pmol of functional protein (6 µM × 50 µl). The included nuclear localization signal (NLS) ensures precise delivery to the nucleus for effective binding at target loci when combined with guide RNAs.

This catalytically inactive Cas9 (dCas9) can be fused with effector domains (e.g., VP64, KRAB, fluorescent proteins) for programmable gene control without inducing DNA breaks.
