Product Description

Dead Cas9 protein is a dual mutant (D10A/H840A) variant of Cas9 that binds to DNA without inducing double-strand breaks. Supplied as 5 × 50 µg lyophilized vials, it reconstitutes in nuclease free water to 1 mg/ml for total amount of1500 pmol of protein (60 µM × 50 µl x 5 tubes). It is ideal for CRISPR interference (CRISPRi), transcriptional repression, epigenetic editing, and chromatin imaging.

The NLS ensures efficient nuclear localization, and the large amount is suited for demanding applications or larger scale experiments. This protein works well with synthetic sgRNAs and supports delivery via electroporation, lipofection, or microinjection.

Whether you’re performing live-cell tagging, targeting transcriptional repressors, or silencing specific genes, this product provides high specificity without DNA cleavage risk.
