Product Description

The (CAG)5-Cy5 probe is a highly specific PNA probe designed to detect CAG trinucleotide repeats, labeled with Cy5 for vivid far-red fluorescence. This probe is ideal for identifying repeat expansions in Myotonic Dystrophy Type 1 (DM1) and other repeat instability disorders using fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH).

With its synthetic PNA structure, the probe offers strong hybridization, superior signal-to-noise ratio, and stability across experimental conditions. The Cy5 label enables multiplexing with green and orange fluorophores.

Each vial contains 5 nmole, which is usually good enough to stain more than 500 slides.

Key Features

  • Targets expanded (CAG)n repeats in genomic DNA
  • Cy5 label for far-red imaging in multiplex assays
